BYU Football 2014 Schedule

  • At Connecticut (Friday)- After a close loss as a favorite vs Virginia in the 2013 opener, BYU should be better prepared for another opener out east (again as a favorite). However, BYU's star running back Williams and receivers Blackmon and Kurtz will not play in this game.
W 20-17
  • At Texas- Despite losing to BYU 41-20 in 2013, most expect Texas should beat BYU this year. While Texas could be much better, they've had a tumultuous off-season, so I think BYU can pull off another win.
W 27-24
  • Vs Houston (Thursday)- The Cougars of Houston played a close game with BYU in 2013, losing by one. Houston will again be an offensive threat, but BYU looks better prepared to defend the pass.
 W 36-28

  • Vs Virginia- Like last year, this one may not be as easy as BYU fans think. The defense could be pretty strong for Virginia, and their talented RB returns.
 W 26-17
  • Vs Utah State (Friday)- QB Chuckie Keaton only played a few snaps vs BYU last year, and the Cougars ended up leaving Ogden with a nice win. Utah State loses a lot of talent, but a good game from Keaton could make things interesting.
W 31-23
  • At UCF (Friday)- QB Blake Bortles and RB Storm Johnson leave, but enough players return, especially on the defense, to have another nice season.
L 27-21
  • Vs Nevada- QB Cody Fajardo returns for the Wolfpack and is their best player, but Nevada's defense will need to improve this year for Nevada to have a good chance vs BYU
W 41-23
  • At Boise State (Friday)- Coach Petersen left, but the new Head Coach Bryan Harsin was with the team a few years ago, so he's very familiar with the program. Although BYU is probably the better team, the Broncos return plenty of talent, and since it's at Boise, they have a shot to beat BYU.
L 27-23
  • Vs UNLV- BYU shouldn't have many troubles.
W 52-17
  • At Mid Tennessee State- If BYU isn't careful here, Mid Tennessee State could put pressure on them.
W 35-24
  • Vs Savannah State-
W 49-3
  • At California- Don't be deceived by California's poor record. While the defense will need to improve a ton, California could have a pretty nice offense. California will have an opportunity to ruin BYU's last game of the regular season.
W 26-16
Projected Record-
10-2
