Peyton Manning's Broncos

March 7th, 2012 - a day which will live in infamy for Colts fans, the day that Peyton Manning was released from the organization, having taken them to eight division championships, two AFC championships, and one Super Bowl championship. Deemed too old, too much of a risk, and that his glory days were well past him, Peyton Manning has been proving to everyone why he is the best quarterback in the league. Luckily for us, The Broncos (more specifically John Elway) recognized this and picked him up on March 20th, 2012.

And here we are. Not even two years later and Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos are in the Super Bowl. Not only are we in the championship game, but on our way here we have broken records: 55 touchdown passes (crushing Tom Brady's 50) and 5,477 passing yards.

Most big changes in sports, especially quarterbacks, are understood to need time to adjust and become familiar with how the new team works, but Peyton Manning just needed one season, and he was ready. But it wasn't just Manning. Everyone on the Broncos, from the offensive line to the nearly perfect Matt Prater (who broke some records of his own this season) put everything they had into their season.

One game left: against Seattle, in New York. The numbers speak for themselves, and even against the number one defense in the league, it is a certainty that the Denver Broncos will bring home their first Super Bowl in more than 15 years, led by Peyton Manning and the brain of John Elway. Regardless of the score of the game, Peyton Manning has proven his old team wrong - his best days are still to come.

Por suerte, los Broncos (específicamente a John Elway) reconoció esto y lo contrató el 20 de Marzo, 2012.

Y aquí estamos. No han pasado ni dos años y Peyton Manning y los Broncos de Denver se hallan en el Super Bowl. No solamente estamos en el Partido del Campeonato, sino que hemos quebrado marcas en el camino hasta aquí: 55 pases de anotación (superando la marca de 50 de Tom Brady) y 5.477 yardas por el aire.

Se entiende que en la mayoría de los cambios en los deportes, especialmente a los mariscales de campo, requiere tiempo para acostumbrarse y familiarizarse a los asuntos del equipo nuevo, pero Peyton Manning sólo necesitó una temporada, y estaba listo. Pero no se le debe todo a Manning. The Book of Mormon is a sacred book of scripture that was written by ancient prophets in the Americas.

The name comes from the second to last writer, Mormon, who compiled the important writings from other prophets and also included his own texts. His son, Moroni wrote the concluding chapters. Moroni buried the records in order for them be preserved according to the Lord's purposes, where it was later brought forth by the modern-day prophet Joseph Smith.

The Book of Mormon does not replace the Bible. It supports it. The cover says: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. The main doctrines taught include faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism and enduring to the end.

Soon after his death and resurrection, the Book of Mormon teaches that Jesus Christ visited the people in the Americas. He taught them many of the same things that he taught during his ministry among the people of Israel.

Hold onto What Matters Most

Countless influences are always seeking to catch our attentions. In the midst of all these complexities, it can be challenging to consistently hold onto the most important things in life. Oftentimes we become overly focused on things of the moment rather than things of greater consequence. How you interact with those around you can have a profound effect on many lives.

Our relationships with others have a greater impact than anything else. Cherish those relationships. Remember others that may be forgotten. Don't assume that others know of your love for them. Show it!

As mentioned in the listed video, in the midst of difficulties, always esteem people over solving problems. You will win every time.
